The town of Surnitsa is located in South-Central Bulgaria. It is part of Velingrad Municipality, Pazardjik District. Sarnitsa is situated in Western Rhodopes at the Western shore of the Dospat Dam Lake. Tourists and visitors of Surnitsa can enjoy a panoramic boat trip along the dam or make an adventourous picnic in the Western Rhodopes Natural Park.
