The village of Lalkovo is located in South-East Bulgaria, Elhovo municipality in proximity to the Sakar Mountain. It is a small and calm place and at the same time it boasts of its strategic location for developing winning business (farming, fruit-growing, vine-growing, rural tourism). It is a perfect place for living due to its unspoilt ecologically clean nature. It is conveniently located just 80 km away from the Black sea coast and the city of Bourgass. The municipal town of Elhovo is just 18 km southwestern of the village. In May 2005 was opened checkpoint Lesovo (40 km away from Lalkovo)-Hamzabeili (Turkey), revealing new opportunities for the economic development of Elhovo region and its inhabitants.
